Educational Initiative

Watering Our Roots

Conducive Learning Spaces
A child cannot learn without the right environment. Many children often have to attend school in uncompleted building or learn outside. They also lack textbooks, school supplies, and other tools they need to excel. At Educate Congo Ireland, we recognize that a conducive learning environment is fundamental to a child’s educational journey.
Through our “Conducive Classrooms” project, we are dedicated to creating spaces that inspire and empower students in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Educate Congo aims not just to provide children with a safe and conducive learning space, but to transform children’s lives through education making them excited about attending school and learning.
Teaching Children LifeSkills
Most schools in DRC do not incorporate programs that teach children life skills. Introducing such programs provides opportunities to foster the personal development, health and well-being of the individual child, to help him/her to create and maintain supportive relationships and become an active and responsible citizen in society.
Educate Congo Ireland is building more than structures, by introducing LifeSkills programmes that are planned and consistent, children can develop a framework of values, attitudes, understanding and skills that will inform their decisions and actions both now and in the future.
